Welcome to HIGH FIVE^® National; a division of Parks and Recreation Ontario.

HIGH FIVE^® is Canada’s only comprehensive quality standard for children’s sport and recreation programs and service delivery.  It represents a true commitment to children and is based on research involving child development experts, recreation and sport professionals, families and leaders.

Parks and Recreation Ontario founded HIGH FIVE^® in 2001 after years of research.  The standard is now being implemented across the country. In 2007, agreements were signed by Authorized Providers in the following seven provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Saskatchewan. For further information about HIGH FIVE^® in the provinces, please visit each Authorized Provider sub-site.
